As Maya Angelou stated, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but we rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” Through her transformation, Frensha Brown-Poynter has found her true passion for building a model of ministry for young girls that animates a positive attitude toward God, self, and others. She believes that what we do and how we relate to others are contingent upon how we perceive ourselves. Seeing ourselves and others through the lens of God is life-transforming. She desires to see young girls grow into beautiful women from the inside out. She is not only the founder of Be.You.tiful Ministry, Inc., but also a wife, mother, advocate, mentor, and entrepreneur.
She received her diploma in Cosmetology from the American Beauty College in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, which proved to be one of her best life decisions. Not only has she been blessed to serve in ministry, but she has shaped the lives of countless women through her career. Frensha has been in the beauty industry for twenty-five years as a licensed Cosmetologist and salon owner. She has also received a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi.
In addition to being a successful businesswoman and stylist, Frensha is a devoted mother and wife. She and her husband, Norris, have been married for 15 years, and together, they have five adult children, one incredible teen, and five adorable grandchildren. With much fulfillment from her career and family, Frensha found that she had yet another passion to be explored. This passion is deeply rooted in what she defines as her “God-given purpose to be a conduit of God's transforming power to change how young girls perceive themselves.” Hence, Frensha founded Be.YOU.tiful Ministry.
